Great Week in Spite of the War

Worshiping Warriors

Jerusalem:

Still worshiping and praising the LORD in Jerusalem. Recovering thru prayer and worship from the Africa trip, and preparing for another journey into the recording studio. The LORD has put it upon my heart to commit new worship songs in a studio-quality recording. Meanwhile, our regular worship watches continue. I believe as we worship and lift up the LORD, He goes to battle in the heavenlies on behalf of Israel.

This newsletter contains: A) Worship Report & CD Recording update

B) Ministry Update on Jericho - Leading worship among Palestinian Arab Muslims

C) Some info on the conflict in Lebanon

A) In last week's 3-hour Shabbat Worship Watch, we had a breakthru revelation of Jehovah Nissi - with powerful prophetic singing:

"Jehovah Nissi - the LORD our Banner!"

We believe that this is the word for this season and we invite you to join in and ascribe this Scriptural title to the One True God.

"The Victory is Yours - because You have the banner!"

"There is Power in Your Name - Your Name is Jehovah Nissi!"

Part of this worship time is presented for you free in MP3 format here.

My fellow worshipers and I are continuing work on the new studio album. Why not have a sneak preview? It's free!

This studio project has some costs which are moderate, but probably more than a non-musician might assume. This includes professional fees for the engineer, musicians, and studio time. We have prayer warriors coming in and covering the studio in prayer for every hour that we are recording, arranging, or mixing (their time is donated). Having a pro-quality recording would give me the ability to release better-sounding CD's among the congregations where I minister when traveling. This would not only help to offset the traveling costs when honorariums are low or rare, but also a way to release new songs of worship which the congregations may use.

If you have any thoughts/prayers/questions about the worship songs here, please let me know. There is an opportunity for gifts and offerings toward the CD (or generally for the ministry).

B) Ministry in Jericho Update:
Now that I'm back in Israel from Africa, I'm resuming ministry in Jericho among the Palestinian Arab ex-Muslims. There's a church plant there, and the LORD is doing amazing things with the refugees - dreams, visions, and healing happening and changing their lives! They can see the love of Jesus as we hand out bags of rice when we worship and preach the Gospel. Thanks for your ongoing prayers. I was there for a few days this week and returning to lead worship on Sunday.

C) As you know, we need lots of prayer in Israel because of the current conflict at the Lebanon/israel border.

Short background:
In 2000, Israel pulled out
of southern Lebanon at the request of the world community, saying that if ever Hizb'Allah attacked Israel from Lebanon, Israel would have an open ticket to protect herself since she had withdrawn voluntarily. For the past 6 years since then, Hizb'Allah has been amassing gigantic amounts of arms right along the border, supported by Syria and Iran. When the attacks started several weeks ago, that is when the current conflict began.
