Asking the LORD to halt the Gay Pride parade thru the streets of Jerusalem
One Christian's Response: Let there be hail
by Teddy Chadwick
Jerusalem:
I exhorted a prayer group last yom shishi on Nov. 3d to pray for hail on the parade (if it even gets that far) - and we all came into agreement and joined in prayer together.
The prayer also included:
- Protection for those not involved in the marching, including their(our) possessions.
- Hailstones on the parade route only, following if the parade route changes.
- Deliverance and salvation for all the gays to repent and turn to Yahshua.
My feeling is this: if we're not going to join in the rioting as a form of protest, yet we feel equally strongly with the haredim that this parade is a major desecration, then the only option is to call upon the LORD to show His power. We are few and weak: but He is strong. "Not by might, not by power, but by My Spirit says the LORD."
We don't want harm to come to the paraders, but we'd like them to duck for cover and stop marching. And I desire for them to realize the power of the Almighty and repent and turn to Him, for His feeling about their sin is quite clear.
With that, I have written to the Jerusalem Post the following letter:

Riot against the parade? One Christian's response: let there be hail
As a born-again, evangelical, pentecostal Christian living in Jerusalem, I join in principle with others of faith who oppose the Gay Pride parade. However, my reaction is a bit different.
I've seen photos from previous parades, and it's absolutely disgusting. To me, this feels like an attack upon the spirituality of our city. However, my Christian friends and I have not joined with the Haredim in torching plastic bins or throwing rocks, as much as we empathize and share their strong emotions. Violence is against our teachings. We do not wish any harm to come to our fellow human beings, we just want the parade to be cancelled. And we'd like to see the turn from their wrongdoing, repent, and recognize the Creator and follow His precepts as written in the Bible.
With that in mind, my friends and I have prayed to the Creator of heaven and earth to stop the parade. We have asked Him to send hailstones if petitions and re-planning have not stopped the parade. Again, we do not wish harm upon gays, we would simply prefer to see them duck for cover, rather than parade their filthy underwear through our streets. Also, we've prayed that the LORD would protect those not involved in marching and their belongings from hail.
If the gay marching goes forward, let there be hailstones, only along the parade route. In Yeshua's name.
Teddy Chadwick, Jerusalem
Well, that's the letter I sent into the Jerusalem Post. I pressed the "send" button, with a prayer. About 2 hours later, I recieved a report from Christine Darg that believers in Australia were praying for the LORD to stop this gay pride march in Jerusalem. As they prayed on Nov 8, all of a sudden the skies became dark and hail began to fall! (Christine Darg's story here.
The Aussie believers took this as a sign of how to pray. So, they also have prayed for hail. My prayer group here in Jerusalem had already asked for hail on Nov 3, to fall on the parade this Nov 10. We had felt that "raining on the parade" wouldn't be enough to stop it - that's why we asked for hailstones.
Won't you join with us and agree in prayer on this? Let's see a mighty work of the LORD bring many souls to Him thru Yahshua the Messiah.
Blessings,
Teddy Chadwick
