Knesset Members to Meet with African Christian Leaders
Preparing for First Ever Jerusalem Summit Africa
Jerusalem, Israel:
1. Healing for Dr. Yuri Shtern, Member of
Knesset.
2. June 17-20 Summit in South
Africa between Knesset members and Christian Leaders of African nations
3. New Praise & Worship CD recording project
4. Hebrew language studies
1. First, the matter of healing. Dr. Shtern is a
Knesset Member, and co-chairs the Christian Allies
Caucus which I have been working with for some time
on the Jerusalem Summit Africa project (which takes
place June 18-19th). Dr. Shtern disclosed
(June 7th) in an interview with Yediot Achronot
that he has been diagnosed with a brain tumor. "I
know that statistics aren't on my side," said the
57-year-old Shtern, who immigrated to Israel from
the former Soviet Union. "But I plan to win this
fight. I always did things that seemed impossible."
Let's pray for a miracle in Dr. Shtern's life that
will show him the power of God. Dr. Shtern has asked for Christians and Jews everywhere
to pray for him. Let's pray for his healing in the name of Jesus!
2. Jerusalem Summit Africa: This Sunday the 11th,
I fly to South Africa, LORD willing, to pray and
prepare for the first ever Jerusalem Summit Africa.
In this Summit, several Knesset members (including
MK Benny Elon - Former Minister of Tourism) will meet with Christian leaders
from various African countries. MK Dr. Yuri Shtern is
no longer planning to attend due to his apparent brain tumor condition.
Knesset Member Dr. Yuri Shtern and his
staff have asked for my help, and I have been
blessed and honored to do so for the past year and a half, particularly in
the area of bringing in African pastors to the meeting. Of all
the pastors from Africa which I have invited, 11
have confirmed so far. They are traveling from
Kenya, Uganda, Togo, Ghana, Ivory Coast, and
possibly Benin. This is big. I see this as one
more opportunity for members of the Israeli
government to interface with powerful Christian men
and women of God - this time, from Africa.
3. New CD: I believe the LORD has been leading me
over the past few months toward a new sound in
praise and worship. The past 3 weeks I've been in
the studio working out musical arrangements for
original songs "By Your Wounds," "Do You See That
Cloud," and "Celui Qui Demeure (Psalm 91)," a song
I wrote in the French language. The engineers,
musicians, and I have all been blessed by the
presence of the LORD as intercessors are praying in
the studio during every hour that we work. Expect
a new CD soon - sometime after the Africa Summit
trip.
4. Hebrew language: With preparations for the
Summit taking so much energy, language studies will
resume after the trip. The LORD has blessed me so
much in learning.
Thank you. Your prayer and support is so helpful.
Of course, I am continuing to lead worship in the
24/7 ministry here - and soon contributing in the
new prayer tower as well. We are praying for extra
provision in this season, as even the flight to
South Africa is quite expensive - I think the
costliest flight I've ever taken to date. We also
have contact with a pastor from Benin who would
like to come to South Africa for the Summit - but
he has not received the funds yet. Would you join
me in prayer that Rev. Moses from Benin would be
able to come. If you would like to help in a
material way, you may include a tax-deductible
donation to:
Jerusalem Tabernacle of David

OR DONATE ONLINE HERE.
Please mark on the online giving form or on the check
whether your gift is for the general expenses or to
help an African pastor attend the Summit in Cape
Town, South Africa.
The LORD bless you! Your prayers are really
helping!!
